1. John Okafor 

Mr. Ibu, or John Ikechukwu Okafor, is a Nigerian actor and comedian who was born on October 17, 1961. Okafor is regarded as one of Nigeria’s most gifted and most popular comic actors.

2. Phyno

Phyno was born on October 9, 1986. He is known popularly as a Nigerian rapper, but is also a singer, songwriter, and record producer. Also, he is known for rapping in Igbo. In 2003, he began his music career as a producer and in 2014, he released his first studio album, No Guts, No Glory. 

Four singles were released to support the album including Ghost Mode, Man of the Year, Parcel, and OSet. Wizkid, Davido, Timaya, Flavour, Ruggedman, Bracket, J. Martins, and Mr Raw are among the musicians with whom Phyno has collaborated with.

3. Falz

Falz, Nigerian rapper, composer, and actor was born on 27th October 1990. He began his professional career as a music artist in 2009 after creating a group named “The School Boys” with a buddy while still in secondary school. Falz rose to prominence after releasing the song “Marry Me,” which featured Poe and Yemi Alade on vocals. 

He is currently the owner of Bahd Guys Records, an indie record company. In 2014, he dropped his debut album Wazup Guy. In 2015, he released his second album, Stories That Touch. In 2017, he released 27 and in 2019, he released Moral Instruction, his fourth studio album.

4. Kelechi Iheanacho 

Leicester City and Nigerian national team forward Kelechi Promise Iheanacho was born on October 3, 1996 in Lagos, Nigeria. Iheanacho was a member of the Nigerian national team who won the U-17 World Cup in 2013. He also played in the U-20 World Cup in 2015. 

In the 2015–16 season, Iheanacho made his senior debut for Manchester City. For a rumoured £25 million price, he moved to Leicester City in 2017. His senior international debut came in 2015, and he represented Nigeria at the FIFA World Cup in 2018.

5. Ice Prince 

Ice Prince was born on October 30, 1984, in Lagos, Nigeria. He became well-known after releasing Oleku which became one of Nigeria’s most popular remixes. Also, on the Hennessy Artistry Club Tour in 2009, he emerged victorious. In 2011, he released his debut studio album, Everybody Loves Ice Prince. 

Three singles were released to promote the album including Oleku, Superstar and Juju. Ice Prince’s second studio album, Fire of Zamani, came out in 2013. The album’s singles included Aboki, Gimme Dat, More, and I swear. Ice Prince left Choc City in 2016 to launch his own label. .

6. Obafemi Martins 

Currently playing for Wuhan Zall in the Chinese Super League, Obafemi Akinwunmi Martins was born on October 28, 1984 in Lagos, Nigeria. The quickness with which he runs after the ball has made him a popular player. At the age of 16, he left Nigeria for Italy and has since played for several top-tier European clubs. 

Inter Milan was where he began his senior career in 2002. From there, he moved to Newcastle United in 2006, and subsequently to VfL Wolfsburg in 2009. Rubin Kazan, of the Russian Premier League, loaned him to Birmingham City in January 2011, after he joined them in July 2010.

7. Iyanya 

Iyanya was born on October 31, 1986. He became famous after he won the first season of Project Fame West Africa, and he is well known for his hit song Kukere. In 2011, he and Ubi Franklin co-founded the record company Made Men Music Group. 

In 2011, he released his self-titled debut studio album, No Time and Love Truly were the singles that went along with it. Desire was his second studio album with songs like Kukere, Ur Waist, Flavour, Sexy Mama, and Jombolo. At the 2013 Headies, he was named Artist of the Year. 

8. Regina Daniels 

Nollywood actress and model Regina Daniels was born on October 10th, 2000, in Lagos, Nigeria. Regina was raised in Asaba, Nigeria’s Delta State. She has three brothers and two sisters, for a total of five siblings. Angelina Jolie, the Academy Award-winning actress with whom she grew up, was one of her role models. 

Regina Daniels was educated at Hollywood International School before enrolling at Igbinedion University in 2018 to pursue a degree in Mass Communication. She’s acted in several Nollywood movies.

9. Ahmed Musa 

Ahmed Musa was born on 14 October 1992. The Nigerian footballer currently plays for Faith Karagümrük in the Turkish Super Lig and the Nigeria national team. 

Musa scored twice against Argentina in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, becoming the first Nigerian to do so in the competition. 

He became the first Nigerian to score in two FIFA World Cups after scoring twice against Iceland in the 2018 FIFA World Cup group stage. Musa won the Saudi Premier League and Saudi Super Cup with Al Nassr in 2019.

10. David Ibiyeomie

David Ibiyeomie is a pastor and founder of Salvation Ministries in Port Harcourt. He was born on 21st October 1962.  With his family in Victoria Island, Lagos, Lagos, Ibiyeomie started a house fellowship before moving to Port Harcourt and starting Salvation Ministries. His church is most popular for the 5 Nights of Glory program.
